NBA, 11-year, 105 trillion won media contract longest and highest record ever

The National Basketball Association (NBA) is signing the longest-term, highest-value media contract in history.

The Associated Press reported on the 11th (Korean time), citing sources, that the NBA has signed a media contract worth a total of $76 billion (about 105.222 trillion won) over 11 years, and that only the league’s board of directors’ approval remains.

The contract, which sets a new record for length and total value in NBA history, is set to take effect starting with the 2025-2026 season.

The games will continue to be broadcast on ESPN and ABC, with some games also scheduled to air on NBC and Amazon Prime.

The Associated Press reported that this contract could increase the team’s salary cap by up to 10% each year, meaning that by the mid-2030s, there could be a player earning $100 million a year.
