Djokovic reaches Wimbledon quarterfinals as he seeks fifth straight title
Men’s tennis star Novak Djokovic has reached the Wimbledon quarterfinals.
The Serb, who is bidding for a fifth consecutive Wimbledon title, dropped the first set to world number seven Rublev in the men’s singles quarterfinals earlier today, but battled back to win in three sets.
Djokovic, who is riding a 33-match Wimbledon winning streak, will face Italy’s world number eight Cilic in the quarterfinals for a place in the final.
In the women’s singles, Ukraine’s Svitolina, the “mommy tennis player” who gave birth to a daughter last year, defeated world number one Cibiontek to reach the semifinals.
