2 wins and 2 draws in four preseason friendlies

English Professional Soccer League (EPL) Wolverhampton Wanderers forward Hwang Hee-chan scored a goal in the club’s final preseason game.

Wolverhampton won its final pre-season friendly against Stade Rennes (France) 3-1 at Molineux Stadium in Wolverhampton, England, on Friday (Sept. 5).

Wolverhampton had previously played four pre-season friendlies against Porto (1-0 win), Celtic (1-1 draw), Luton Town (0-0 draw), and Stade Rennes (2-2).

After completing its preseason schedule, Wolverhampton will open the 2023-2024 EPL season against Manchester United at 4 p.m. on Sept. 15.

Hwang Hee-chan, who was named to the substitutes’ bench, came on at the start of the second half and scored the game-winning goal in the 22nd minute with his team leading 2-1.
