Japan’s basketball team at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games ended the tournament with its second straight loss.
The Japanese fell 84-102 to Brazil in the third game of Group B on Sunday (Feb. 2) at Pierre Morua Stadium in Lille, France.
Head coach Tom Hosabe’s Japan fell to Brazil after losing to Germany (77-97) and France (90-94).

Prior to the game, the Japan Basketball Association (JBA) announced that Hachimura had been ruled out with a left calf injury.

Japan has now lost six straight Olympic Games, including Tokyo 2020 and now Paris, with two straight losses.
